Lions Academy School

Our school, Lions Academy School, is located right in our own compound in Saragur. That’s in the Hd Kote area of Mysore, zip code 571125. It’s a decent-sized space with several buildings for the different classes. We spend a lot of time maintaining the grounds because things grow fast around here. It’s not a fancy private school with air conditioning in every room. We have standard classrooms with benches and blackboards. The students come from all over Saragur and the surrounding villages. Usually, the mornings are the busiest when the buses arrive and everyone is trying to get to their assembly on time. We have a small office where we handle the fees and the paperwork, which seems to never end. The staff is a mix of people who have lived in Hd Kote their whole lives and some who travel in. We don't do much in the way of advertising; the school has been here long enough that people just know where we are. We try to keep the compound clean and the walls painted every few years so it doesn't look too run down. It’s a basic educational setup for the families in this part of Mysore. We don't have anything too flashy, just the usual school day routine from Monday to Saturday. When the bell rings at the end of the day, it gets very loud for a few minutes while everyone heads for the gates. Then it's just quiet again until the next morning starts.
