Zoobia International

Zoobia International is set up on B V Marg, occupying units 180, 216, and 218 on the ground floor. Having multiple spots makes things a bit confusing sometimes, as we are always running back and forth between the rooms. One room is mostly for storage, filled with boxes stacked almost to the ceiling. The other is where we actually do the office work and talk to people on the phone. It’s a busy street, B V Marg, so there is always the sound of trucks and motorbikes right outside the door. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and charts for shipping schedules. The floor is that old-fashioned speckled tile you see in a lot of Mumbai buildings. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything coming and going. Sometimes the labels get mixed up and we have to spend half the morning sorting it out. My nephew helps me with the computer stuff because I’m not very good at it. We mostly just drink our tea and get through the pile of work on the desk. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. People come by for business meetings and we just sit on the plastic chairs and talk shop. It’s a practical place for people who just want to get things done without any fuss. It works for us anyway.
