Bong Bong

We are located at 567 Dahanukar Colony, which is right by the Crawford Market area. If you know Mumbai, you know how Crawford Market is. It is loud, crowded, and there is always something happening on the street. Our spot in Dahanukar Colony is a bit of a refuge from that chaos, but not by much. You can still hear the honking and the shouting of the vendors from the main market. The building is old, like most things in this part of town, but it has character. We’ve been here at Bong Bong for a while now. The space inside is mostly filled with whatever we are working on that week. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when a lot of stuff arrives at once. We usually have the door open to get some air, even if it means the dust comes in too. The tea stall at the corner is where we spend our breaks, watching the crowd go by. Crawford Market has a very specific smell and energy that you don't find anywhere else in the city. It's a tough place to work sometimes because of the congestion, but it's also very central. We like the fact that everything is within walking distance if we need to pick up supplies or some lunch. It’s a very honest way to live and work, right in the middle of all that history and trade. It is messy and loud, but it is home for us.
