Mahavir Bag House

You can find Mahavir Bag House right in the middle of Masjid Bunder. We are at 180 Chandivali Farm Road, which is very near the Union Bank of India. If you know this area, you know it is incredibly crowded and busy at all hours. There are people everywhere and the noise of the market is constant. Our shop is packed with bags of every possible kind, from floor to ceiling. We have squeezed as much stock as we can into the space. It is a bit tight when customers come in, but that is just how things are in Masjid Bunder. We have been here for a long time and the shop feels like it has a lot of history. The shelves are made of old wood and we have a small corner where we handle the bills and the cash. We do not have air conditioning, so we rely on the ceiling fans to stay cool while we work. We do not do any big promotions or advertising. People find us because they have been coming here for years or they see our sign while walking through the market. We handle wholesale orders and also sell to individuals who just want one bag. Most of our receipts are still written out by hand. It is a traditional way of doing things and we are happy to be part of this local market.
