We are located at Shop No 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Kokani Chawl on Stable Street. It’s right there in the Grant Road area of Mumbai, just behind the old Ahmed Umer Mills. If you’ve ever walked through those lanes, you know it’s a tight squeeze. Our kitchen is always busy, and there’s usually a lot of steam and the smell of spices in the air. We’ve been cooking here for a long time, serving the local neighborhood and the surrounding parts of Mumbai. We don't have a fancy dining room or anything like that. We just focus on the food and getting it out to the people who ordered it. It’s loud, hot, and there is always someone chopping onions or washing large pots. We use big metal containers to transport everything, and navigating those through the Grant Road traffic is a task every single day. We are just a group of local cooks and helpers who know how to make a decent meal for a large crowd. We don't use any high-tech machines, just traditional stoves and a lot of manual work. Sometimes we run out of ingredients and have to dash to the market, or the delivery truck gets stuck in a jam. We take things as they come and try to keep the fires burning. It’s a humble setup, but it’s what we know. We’ve been part of this community for years and plan to stay. We stay busy and keep the kitchen running.
