Dada Fire Works

Dada Fire Works has been at number 5 on Mohammed Ali Road in Masjid Bunder West for a very long time. This part of the city never seems to sleep. Our shop is quite small, but when festival season comes around, it feels like the center of everything. We sell sparklers, crackers, and all the things that make noise and light. The rest of the year, it’s a bit quieter, but we are still here, surrounded by boxes of inventory. The smell of sulfur and cardboard is always in the air. Mohammed Ali Road is famous for its food, so the smell of frying kababs often drifts into the shop in the evenings. We sit on small wooden benches and wait for customers to come in. The walls are lined with colorful boxes showing pictures of fireworks. We have to be very careful with how we store everything because of the nature of what we sell. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and you can usually find one of us sitting near the entrance watching the crowd go by. The traffic outside is constant, with horns honking at all hours. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a traditional shop where we’ve been doing business for generations. People know the name Dada Fire Works and they know where to find us when they want to celebrate.
