We are located on Datta Mandir Road in Santacruz East. It’s a lively neighborhood with a lot going on. Our place is easy to find if you know where the temple is. We’ve been making and selling balloons here for quite some time. It’s a bit of a fun business to be in, though it's still hard work like anything else. The shop and the back area are always full of bright colors and the smell of rubber. It’s not a fancy corporate setup at all. We have bags of stock piled up and ribbons everywhere. People stop by all the time, sometimes just to ask directions or see what we’re doing. Datta Mandir Road can be quite narrow and gets very busy during festival times. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready. Whether it’s for a small birthday party or something bigger, we just get on with the job. We don't have a marketing department; we just rely on people telling their friends about us. Our staff is small, just a few of us who have learned the trade over the years. We’ve seen the area change, with new buildings going up, but our little balloon business stays much the same. We like it that way. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We just try to do right by the people who come in and want something for their celebration.
