Amar Decorators

If you go to Santacruz, specifically on Tilak Road at number 8, you will find Amar Decorators. It’s not a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s more of a working yard and a small office where we keep all our supplies. We have stacks of chairs and big bundles of cloth that we use for events. Tilak Road can get pretty crowded, so moving our stuff in and out of the trucks takes some patience. We’ve been at number 8 for quite some time now. The gate is a bit heavy to pull open in the morning, and the paint is peeling a little on the side wall. We don’t spend much time making the place look pretty because we are usually too busy getting things ready for someone else’s event. There is a small desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s mostly just us and a few guys who help with the heavy lifting. We don’t really do advertisements or have a fancy brochure. Most people just heard about us from their neighbors or saw our trucks parked out front. We keep a couple of spare bulbs and some rolls of tape on the shelves just in case. It’s a practical business run by people who don’t mind getting their hands a bit dirty. The sun hits the yard in the afternoon, making it a good spot to dry out any fabrics.
