Pratap D Thakkar & Co

Our office, Pratap D Thakkar & Co, is located at 181 Bhandarkar Road in Matunga. It’s a pretty standard setup where we deal with a lot of accounting and tax-related paperwork every day. The building is one of those older structures that has a lot of character, though the elevator is a bit slow sometimes. Inside, you will see rows of tall steel cabinets filled with folders and files from many years of work. We have a small team here, and we usually spend our mornings going through the mail and catching up on deadlines. Matunga is a busy neighborhood, and Bhandarkar Road always has people walking by or cars looking for parking. We get a lot of regular clients who have been coming to see us for decades. They usually sit in the wooden chairs in our waiting area and chat for a bit before we get down to business. We don't go in for any of that modern corporate decor; our desks are simple and piled with papers. There is always a pot of water and some glasses ready for anyone who visits. It gets a little warm in the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are always humming away. We just focus on keeping the records straight and helping out whoever walks in. It is straightforward work, and we like being part of the Matunga community in this way.
