Jariwala Gopalji Valji Varaiya

Jariwala Gopalji Valji Varaiya is sitting right at Gandhi Marg Sahajanand Marg 21. It’s an old place and we’ve been here for years. My grandfather started it and now we just keep the doors open every morning. The shelves are filled with rolls of thread and different materials for clothing. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. We have wooden counters that are a bit worn out from all the measuring and cutting over time. Sometimes the fans don't work great when it’s hot outside, but we manage. People from the neighborhood come by just to chat or pick up things they need for their sewing projects. We don't do much advertising because everyone around here knows where we are. It’s a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, but that’s just how it is. We spend our days sorting through stock and helping customers who walk in. The address is easy to find once you get to the main road. We keep a small kettle for tea in the back. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We don’t have a website or anything big. Just the shop and the items we sell. It’s quiet in the afternoons but picks up when the schools let out. We just try to stay organized and keep things moving along day by day.
