Sunflower Floral Products

You can find us right in the heart of the Dadar West flower market. We are positioned just across from the Kohinoor Training Institute. If you have ever been to the market early in the morning, you know how chaotic it is. There are trucks unloading, people shouting, and flowers everywhere. We call our place Sunflower Floral Products. It is more of a stall and a small storage space than a formal shop. We handle a lot of different floral items, mostly for events or local vendors. The smell of jasmine and roses is everywhere, but so is the smell of the wet pavement and the crowds. We start our day while most of the city is still asleep, usually around three or four in the morning. That’s when the best stock arrives from the farms. It’s a very physical job. You are constantly moving crates and sorting through stems. We don't have a glossy catalog. We just show people what we have available that day. Sometimes the rain in Mumbai makes things difficult, especially in an open market like this one. We just wrap things up in plastic and keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest florist in the city. We just provide what people need for their family functions or small shops. It’s a simple life, lived according to the seasons and the festival calendar. The market is our home. We’ve been here long enough that everyone knows us.
