Zaiqaa Restaurant

Zaiqaa Restaurant is located in Shop No 1/2 at Rajaram Estate. We are on Dsp Road in Dadar East, which is a very crowded part of Mumbai. Being so close to the Dadar East railway station means things never really quiet down. There is a constant stream of people coming off the trains. We opened this place because we saw how many people needed a quick, decent meal before catching their next bus or train. The space is small, as most shops in Dadar are. We have to be very organized to make it work. The kitchen stays busy from early morning until late at night. We serve a lot of office workers and commuters. It is noisy outside with the traffic and the station sounds, but inside we just focus on the food. We don't have any fancy decor. The walls are plain and the tables are sturdy. We’ve been here for a few years and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. But the hunger of people rushing to work stays the same. Our workers are fast because they have to be. We don't have time for slow service in Mumbai. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the pace, but we are used to it now. We just do what we do every day and hope the trains keep running on time.
