Our setup is in Room No. 4 of Purushottam Chawl. We are located in the Bandongari area of Ashok Nagar, which is up in Kandivali East. Living and working in a chawl is different from being in a high-rise office. It is a very close-knit environment where everyone knows their neighbors and what is going on in the next room. We have been operating from this small space for a while. The room is basic, with just enough space for the essentials. Kandivali East is a busy suburb, and Ashok Nagar is always full of activity. You can hear the sounds of the street and the other residents all day long. It is not a place for corporate meetings or fancy events. We are just local people doing our work in a place that fits our needs. The address is simple, and so is our way of working. We deal with the Mumbai heat and the monsoon rains just like anyone else living in a chawl. Sometimes the water pressure is low, or the electricity flickers, but we just get on with things. It is a very grounded place to be. We do not have any big signs or flashy lights. If you are looking for us, you just walk into the chawl and find room number four. It is a practical, no-nonsense spot where we spend our working hours in a very traditional Mumbai setting.
