Goregaon is always a bit chaotic, especially near Film City Road. Wadhwa Developers is based in Raag Apt, specifically apartment 181. Being right opposite the Dhindoshi Sepot means you hear buses all day long. The office is essentially a converted apartment. Blueprints and site photos are pinned up everywhere. We spend hours talking to site supervisors and different architects. Mumbai real estate can be a tough business, but we stay focused on our own projects. Schedules and dusty maps cover most of the wall space. There is no polished lobby or expensive art to look at. We just have some old chairs and desks that have been around a long time. People often walk in to ask about new buildings in the area. Sometimes the office stays empty for a few hours while we visit the sites. We don't use complicated words to explain what we do here. Building things and managing the plots is the core of it. The noise from the sepot is loud, but you stop noticing it after a while. We drink plenty of tea to keep going during long meetings. It is a busy life in a crowded part of the city. We keep our heads down and try to finish the work on time. When the phone rings, we just deal with it as it comes. It's just a regular office where we handle our daily business.
