Vijumayank Travels

Vijumayank Travels has been operating out of Kakad Market for quite some time now. We are up in room 501, and we also have a spot at 306. It’s a busy place, right in the heart of the Kalbadevi and Marine Lines area. If you know the Alandi Road route, you probably know the kind of traffic we deal with every day. Running a travel business around here means there is never a dull moment. We spend most of our time on the phone or talking to people who walk in looking for tickets or bus bookings. The market is always loud and there’s always someone moving crates or shouting, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a fancy waiting lounge or anything like that. Just some old chairs and a counter where we talk to customers. We try to help people figure out their trips, whether they are going local or further out. Sometimes the buses are late because of the road conditions, and we have to spend the whole afternoon explaining that to frustrated passengers. It is just part of the job. We know the routes well and we know the drivers. It’s a lot of back-and-forth work, but it keeps us busy and the day goes by fast. We’ve been in Kakad Market so long that we know all the other shopkeepers too. It's just a local travel shop where we try to get things done.
