Vijay Store

Vijay Store is located at Plot No.-121 on Gandhi Road in Dharavi. We are right near the Madina Masjid, which is a big landmark in this area. It is a very busy part of town with narrow lanes and lots of people moving around. Our store is a place where locals come to buy their daily essentials like tea, sugar, and cooking oil. We have large sacks of grains sitting near the entrance. The shop is always humming with activity. We start our day very early to get everything ready for the morning rush. It’s a small space, but we manage to fit a lot of inventory inside. Sometimes it feels like we are playing a game of Tetris with the boxes. We know the families living around here and we’ve seen their kids grow up over the years. It’s a tight-knit community in Dharavi. We don't have any fancy signs or big glass windows. The shop is open to the street, and we like it that way because it makes it easy for people to shout out what they need without even getting off their bicycles. There is always a bit of dust and noise from the traffic on Gandhi Road, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on providing what the neighborhood needs every day. If you are walking towards the masjid, you will definitely see us there.
