Varshas Art Creation

Our little spot is at B-6 in Runwal Park, Chembur East. We are right next to the Akbarallys departmental store, so it’s easy to find if you know that landmark. Varshas Art Creation is basically where we do all our creative stuff. It’s a mix of different art projects and items we put together. The space isn't very big, so we have to be organized, though it usually looks like a mess of paint and materials. Chembur is a nice place to work because it feels more like a community than other parts of Mumbai. We know the people at the shops nearby. We don't really do much advertising. Mostly, people just see our sign when they go to Akbarallys and pop in to see what we are making. Some days we are working on specific orders for someone's house, and other days we are just trying out new ideas. It’s a bit unpredictable. The light in the afternoons is quite good for working. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change, but the park nearby stays green. We keep things simple and don't try to sound like a big gallery. It’s just us making things we think look nice. If you stop by, you’ll probably see me or one of the others with paint on our hands. That’s just the way it goes when you’re actually making things yourself.
