V R Bags

If you walk down Nagarbhavi Main Road towards the 1 Cross in Amarjyothi Nagar, you will find us. V R Bags has been part of this Dharavi neighborhood for a while. Our workspace is small, and there are always bags piled up in the corners. It gets a bit dusty with all the materials we use, but that is just how it is. We spend most of our mornings checking the stitching on the new orders. It is a lot of work, and sometimes the electricity goes out, which slows everything down. We don't have any fancy signs or a big entrance. Most people find us by asking around or just seeing the bags hanging near the door. My brother and I handle most of the stuff, from talking to customers to packing things up. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people walking by. We use different kinds of fabrics, some heavy and some light, depending on what we are making that week. It is not a big corporate setup, just a local spot where we try to keep things moving. We have seen the area change a lot over the years, but the way we make our bags stays pretty much the same. It is hard work, but it is what we do every day. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big batch for someone. It is just a normal life here for us.
