V Care Car

We’ve been here at Shop No 5 in Lohia Chawl for a good while now. It’s right on CST Road in Santacruz East, just across from the Lakhbir petrol pump which makes it easy for people to find us even if the traffic is heavy. Most days it’s just us dealing with whatever car rolls in. It gets pretty loud with the main road right there and the smell of fuel from across the way, but we are used to it by now. The shop isn't huge, just a standard spot in the chawl, but we have enough space to get the work done. Usually, the mornings start slow with some tea and then the phone starts ringing or someone stops by because they saw the sign while getting gas. It’s a lot of manual work and getting our hands dirty is basically the whole job description. We don’t have any fancy waiting rooms or anything like that. People just stand around or go for a walk while we look at their engines or tires. Santacruz is a busy place so there is always something happening outside the door. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because the water collects on the road, but we just keep the shutters up and keep moving. It's just a regular local business trying to stay on top of the pile of work we have each day. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners around here pretty well.
