Umesh Engineering Works

Umesh Engineering Works is over at A/34 in Ghatkopar West. We are part of the H O Jyoti Park area, inside the Insarideep Society. If you’re looking for us, we’re right near Hotel Airways. It’s a busy little corner of Ghatkopar. The workshop has been here for quite a while now. Umesh started it up and has been running it ever since. It’s an engineering shop, so you can expect to see a lot of tools, some old machinery, and a bit of dust here and there. We don’t really worry about having a polished look. As long as the machines are working and we can finish the jobs, we’re happy. The society is a mix of people living and working, so we have to be mindful of our neighbors. We usually have some metal scraps in the corner and the smell of grease is pretty much permanent. It’s a practical place for practical work. We spend our days cutting, welding, and fixing things. Sometimes we have a lot of orders and things get a bit hectic, but we just take it one task at a time. There isn't any corporate talk here. We just talk about what needs to be fixed and how long it’s going to take. It’s a local shop where people can come when they need something made or repaired. We just keep at it every day, making sure the work gets done correctly.
