Sukh Shanti Engineering Works

Sukh Shanti Engineering Works is located in the Mewar Patanwala Compound on L. B. S. Marg in Ghatkopar West. This compound has been around for quite a long time, and you can tell by the way the buildings look. Our workshop at number 106 is filled with the usual stuff you’d expect in an engineering place—wrenches, scrap metal, and heavy benches. The traffic on LBS Marg is always a bit of a nightmare, so we usually hear the constant honking of horns in the background while we work. It’s a gritty sort of place, and we don't mind the grease or the noise. We’ve got a small team, and we’ve all known each other for years, so the conversation is usually about family or local gossip while we’re fixing things or welding. We don’t have a big sign or any fancy lights; people just know where to find us in the compound. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it pours during the monsoon, but we just move the machines out of the way and keep going. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning and quiet rooms. It’s a real workshop where the floors are stained and the work is hard. We just take things one day at a time, making sure we finish the jobs that come our way and keeping the machines in good shape.
