Our place is at A/7 in the Chandivali Industrial Area. We are tucked away right behind where Coats of India Ltd used to be, or where they are still located, depending on who you ask. It is a bit of a crowded area with a lot of trucks and delivery vans trying to squeeze through the narrow lanes. Our workshop is always humming with activity. We do a lot of engineering work that involves fabrication and assembly. The floors are concrete and usually have a few bits of scrap metal lying around until we sweep up at the end of the shift. We aren't a big fancy company with a glass lobby. We have a small office area where we handle the bills and talk to customers, but the real work happens out on the floor. Most of our guys have been here for years and they know the machines better than anyone. We get a lot of dust from the road and the other factories, so we are always cleaning off the desks. It is loud and busy, but we like the pace of it. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a calendar and a list of things that need to be finished by Friday. It’s a practical business run by people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty to get the job done right.
