Pratik Engineering Works

The workshop at J- 9/12 in the MIDC area is where we spend most of our waking hours. Pratik Engineering Works isn't one of those silent offices you see in movies; it’s a place where there is always a bit of grease on the floor and the sound of metal hitting metal. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and maybe a few tools hanging where they are easy to grab. Being in the MIDC means we are surrounded by other workshops just like ours, so there is a constant hum of machinery in the air from morning until we lock up at night. Usually, we start the day with a quick cup of tea from the stall around the corner before getting the machines warmed up. Some days are slower than others, especially when we are waiting on a specific part to arrive, but usually, there is plenty to keep our hands busy. It’s hard work and it gets pretty warm in here during the summer months when the sun beats down on the roof. We don’t do much in the way of advertising because people in the industrial area already know where we are. We just focus on the job at hand and try to make sure everything we turn out is decent enough to stand by. It’s a simple life, really.
