Our place is in the Rainbow Industrial Estate in Andheri East. If you know the area, it is right opposite Seepz, which means the traffic can be a real headache in the mornings. We usually try to get in early to beat the rush on Central Road off the M. I. D. C. area. The building is a typical industrial setup, nothing flashy, just solid walls and a lot of engineering equipment inside. We spend most of our time out on the floor or sitting at the back desks handling the paperwork that comes with running an engineering firm. It is a busy environment with the sound of machines going in the background all day. We have a small tea stall just outside the gates where we spend our breaks talking about the day’s tasks. The air in Andheri East is always thick with the smell of the city and industrial work. Inside, it is mostly just us focusing on the blueprints and the metal parts we handle. We have been at this spot for a long time, so we know the other shop owners around the estate quite well. It is a community of sorts. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that, just a few engineers and office staff who have been here for years. We keep things simple and just focus on finishing the jobs that come across our desks each week. It is hard work, but it is what we do.
