Umang Travels

Our office is tucked inside Mitha Mansion, which is a pretty old building if you know Kalbadevi. We are at Shop Number 237 and 241, right on Lal Bahadur Shastri Road. It is always loud and crowded around here, with trucks and handcarts moving through the narrow lanes. Working in travel means we spend a lot of time on the phone or staring at computer screens looking for bus seats and train tickets. It is not a glamorous job, mostly just handling cancellations or explaining routes to people who want to visit their villages. Being near Chandulal is the easiest way to find us. The office itself is full of old registers and calendars. Some days are slow, and we just sit and drink tea, but during holiday seasons, it is complete chaos. People come in asking about prices for different places, and we try to find something that fits their budget. We have been in this spot for years, so we know the local chai walas and the other shopkeepers well. Kalbadevi has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of that. It is mostly about getting people where they need to go without too much trouble. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to ask customers to wait, but usually, things move along fine.
