We’ve been based out of the Ajay Industrial Estate for a good number of years now. Our spot is at 302, in the B-Anjir Wadi section of Mazgaon. If you know Dr. Mascarenhas Road, you know it stays pretty busy with trucks and people moving things around all day. Being an old industrial area, it’s not exactly quiet or pretty, but it works for what we do here at Tru-Cut Tools. Most of our time is spent dealing with different types of cutting equipment and making sure the inventory is where it should be. The office is tucked away on the third floor. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when a big shipment comes in, but we manage. My brother and I usually handle the day-to-day stuff ourselves. Occasionally, the lift in the building acts up, which is a pain when we have heavy boxes, but that’s just life in an older building in Mumbai. No big fancy reception area exists here. People just drop in when they need something specific for their machines. We try to keep things organized, though it doesn't always look that way to an outsider. Most of our neighbors are doing similar industrial work, so we all kind of understand how things go. It’s a straightforward setup. Advertising isn't something we do much; mostly it’s just people who’ve known us for years or found the address on Dr. Mascarenhas Road. We're just trying to keep the business going and keep up with the orders.
