Travel Ox

Most days we are just here at 606/B Lamington Road. It's across from Ruia Lawn. If you know the Shimla House building, we're on the floor in D Block. Rathodi Village can be a bit crowded, especially on Marve Road during the rush. We started Travel Ox because we knew how to get around and people needed help with their trips. There’s always someone on the phone or looking at a computer screen in here. It isn't a fancy place with lots of decorations or big signs. Just some desks and chairs and old files. We deal with a lot of local folks and some from further out too. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to wait a bit to finish a booking. People come in asking about trains or flights and we just do what we can. It’s a lot of paperwork. Dealing with the D Block stairs keeps us moving since the lift is hit or miss. Lamington Road has everything if you look hard enough. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the last few years. New shops open and old ones close down. We stay right here though. If you see the sign near the village entrance, that’s us. We just handle the travel stuff so people don’t have to do it themselves. It's a living and we know the area well. Usually, it's just the sound of the traffic outside and the fan going inside. That is how it goes every day for us.
