Travel Diaries

Travel Diaries is tucked away in Hypercity Mall on Ghodbunder Road in Thane. Being in a mall means there is always noise and people walking past our door. It’s a bit different from a standalone office. We’ve been sitting here for quite some time now, helping people figure out where they want to go for their holidays. Thane is a huge place and Ghodbunder Road is always packed with traffic, so we see a lot of different faces every day. It’s just me and a couple of others here. We don’t have a big corporate backup. We just sit with our maps and computers and try to sort out bookings. Sometimes the phones don’t stop ringing, and other times we just wait for people to wander in while they are doing their grocery shopping at the mall. It’s a practical way to run a business. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure someone gets their flight on time or finds a decent hotel. People come in stressed about their plans, and we try to talk it through. It’s a small desk, really. Nothing too fancy. If you are walking around Hypercity, you can see us. We’ve been here long enough that the mall security knows us by name. It’s a decent spot to work from, even with all the mall music playing in the background all day.
