Our office is right on the 21 Andheri East Main Road, inside Bhai Das Niwas. It is a busy spot, as anyone who knows Andheri East can tell you. Travel By Rakesh Tours & Travels is mostly just us sitting at desks with a lot of maps and brochures that have seen better days. The phones ring quite a bit, and there is usually someone complaining about a flight delay or asking about train tickets. Rakesh is usually around, probably on the phone with a hotel or a driver. It is not a quiet place. We have got calendars hanging on the walls and piles of itineraries sitting on the desks. We have been here at Bhai Das Niwas for a good while, and most of the locals know where to find us. We do not really do the whole fancy corporate travel thing. It is more about helping people get from one place to another without too much of a headache. Sometimes the office gets crowded when a big family comes in to plan a trip, and everyone is talking at once. We just grab a chair and try to sort it out. It is a bit chaotic, but we like the energy of the main road. You can hear the traffic outside all day. We just keep our heads down and keep booking trips for whoever walks through the door. It is a straightforward life here. We drink a lot of chai and talk to a lot of people every day.
