Travel Agency From Past

Our shop is located at 6/Heena Appt in the New Maneklal Estate, which is in Ghatkopar West. We’ve been a travel agency for quite a long time now. The building is a typical Mumbai apartment block, and we have our small office on the ground floor. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so many old ledgers and travel brochures piled up from over the years. People from the neighborhood usually just drop in to ask about train tickets or to see if there are any cheap flights to go see their relatives. We don’t use any fancy booking software that the big companies use; we just do things the way we always have. The area around Maneklal Estate is quite busy, so there’s always noise from the rickshaws and people walking to the market. We have a couple of old desks and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait for their paperwork to be ready. It’s a very simple operation. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few buildings away. Sometimes we just sit and talk about how much the city has changed while we wait for the printer to finish. It’s not a high-pressure environment, just a local business trying to help people get where they need to go without much trouble. We keep things running steadily and look after the folks who come through our door.
