You can find our Tours & Travels shop in Andheri East, right near the Ganesh Mandir. Having the temple so close is actually quite nice because you can hear the bells and it gives a bit of a calm feeling to the day. The area is usually packed with people coming and going, especially during the festival times. Our shop is pretty straightforward, just a small space with some chairs and a computer where we look up routes and tickets. It’s not one of those big fancy travel agencies you see in malls. We just handle the basics for people in the neighborhood who need to get from one place to another. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and explaining different train or bus timings to customers. Sometimes people just walk in while they are on their way to the temple to ask a quick question. The walls have a few old calendars and some maps pinned up. It gets a bit dusty with the construction always happening in Andheri, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the desks. It’s a simple life, just helping people plan their trips and making sure the bookings are confirmed. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t, just a local spot where you can get your travel sorted without any fuss. The work is steady and the tea is usually hot.
