We operate the cab service out of the Kantilal Compound in Andheri East. Our specific spot is near Bansi Yadav. It’s not a large office, just a simple room where we coordinate the drivers and take bookings over the phone. The compound itself is a bit of a mix of different activities, and there’s usually a bit of shade from the old trees where the drivers like to park their cars between trips. We spend most of our day on the phone or looking at the logbooks to see who is where. Andheri East is a hectic place for any transport business because of the airport and the railway station being so close, so we are always watching the clock. The office has a few chairs and a desk that’s seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We don't have any corporate branding or a big marketing team. It’s just us making sure the cars are clean and the drivers are ready to go. Sometimes the monsoon makes everything difficult, and we spend hours trying to figure out the best routes to avoid the floods. We just focus on the daily task of getting people where they need to go without making a big fuss about it. It’s a local operation, and we’ve been at this compound for a good many years.
