Tirupti Flower Shop

Tirupti Flower Shop is located at 17 Bhandarkar Road in Matunga. This part of the city has a very specific feel to it, especially in the mornings when people are out doing their daily shopping or heading to the nearby temples. We are right in the middle of all that. The shop itself is an old-fashioned space, nothing like the modern boutiques you see in the malls. We have the same wooden counters we've used for years, and the walls have that weathered look that comes from being in a humid city for a long time. Every day starts with a lot of sweeping because of all the stray leaves and bits of string that end up on the sidewalk. Bhandarkar Road is quite narrow, so things can feel a bit squeezed when there are lots of people around. We mostly deal with the locals who have lived in Matunga for decades. They know us by name, and we know exactly what they like without them having to ask. It’s a very personal way of doing things. We don't have a website or a social media page because we haven't ever really felt the need for one. People just walk by and see what we have out on display. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside and watch the cars go by when the weather is nice. It’s a simple life, focused on the flowers and the people in our neighborhood who need them for their homes or ceremonies.
