Manju Flowers Stall

Our little stall is at 38 Prabhadevi Sasane Nagar. Manju Flowers Stall is a simple place where we spend our mornings surrounded by roses, marigolds, and lilies. We have to start very early, usually before the sun is even up, to get the freshest stock from the market. By the time most people are waking up, we are already at 38 Prabhadevi, trimming stems and arranging bundles. The air around our stall always smells sweet, which is a nice change from the city fumes. We don't have a big shop with air conditioning. It’s just our stall on the street side. People stop by on their way to work or when they are going to the temple. We know a lot of the regulars by name now. Sasane Nagar is a lively neighborhood, and we like being right in the middle of it. We don't do any fancy advertising or floral design competitions. We just put together what people want for their homes or ceremonies. Sometimes the petals get crushed or the water spills, but that’s just part of working with flowers. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the heat, but seeing someone smile when they take a bouquet makes it worth it. We’ve been here for a good while and plan to stay as long as people keep needing flowers for their daily lives.
