Apollo Florist

Apollo Florist is over at Halima Manzil, which is right opposite the SBI Bank on Forjeet Hill Road in Viman Nagar. It’s a bit of a unique spot because Viman Nagar is usually so busy, but our little corner feels a bit different. We deal with flowers every day, so the shop usually smells pretty good, though it gets a bit messy with all the leaves and stems on the floor. We aren't a big event company or anything. We just sell bouquets and loose flowers to people walking by or those who live in the buildings nearby. We get our delivery of fresh flowers early in the morning, and that’s when we are busiest, cutting and sorting them. Sometimes the water buckets leak a little, and we have to keep mopping up. It’s a lot of work with your hands. We don’t use any fancy machinery. If someone wants a bunch of roses or some lilies for a birthday, they just come in and ask. We don't have a big polished showroom; it's more like a workshop where we put arrangements together for our customers. The SBI Bank across the road is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We’ve been at 3 Forjeet Hill Road for a long time. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us working with the plants and flowers. We try to keep the flowers as fresh as we can given the Pune heat and humidity.
