Prettile Flowers

Prettile Flowers is our little spot in Bandra, specifically at D 1101/B28/1. Bandra is a loud and busy place, but inside here, it’s mostly just the sound of water and scissors. We spend a lot of time cleaning up stems and making sure the floor isn't too slippery from all the spilled water. It’s not a big corporate operation; it’s just a few of us trying to keep the flowers looking okay. We get deliveries early in the morning when the air is still cool. Sometimes the flowers we want aren't available, so we just work with what we have. Customers come in for birthdays or just because they want something for their table. We don't have a polished showroom. There are buckets everywhere and bits of ribbon on the chairs. We’ve been at this address for some time now. The light in the shop isn't great in the afternoon, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just like working with the plants and seeing people leave with something nice. Bandra can be expensive and fast, but we try to keep things simple here. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy crates and staying on our feet all day. We just take it one bouquet at a time and hope the flowers stay fresh long enough. Some days the heat gets to them, but that is just how it goes.
