Florista

You can find Florista over in the Lokhandwala Complex, specifically in the Sneha Building at Andheri Subhanpura. We’re at shop number 3. It’s a small spot, even if it gets a bit crowded with all the buckets and vases we have lying around the floor. There’s usually a bit of water on the tiles from trimming the stems, and the smell of roses and lilies is always hanging in the air. We spend our mornings getting the fresh arrivals ready. It’s a lot of cutting, dealing with thorns, and putting things in jars so they look okay for whoever comes in. We don’t follow any strict rules about how a bouquet should look; we just put together what feels right at the time. The Lokhandwala area is always buzzing, so we see a lot of people walking by. Some just pop in for a single flower, while others need something bigger for a party or a gift. We’ve got a small workbench in the back where we do all the tying and wrapping with ribbon. It’s not a fancy boutique with velvet curtains. It’s more of a working shop where we actually get our hands dirty with soil and plant sap. The Sneha Building is easy to spot once you're in the complex. We’ve been here for some time, and the neighbors are all pretty friendly. Sometimes we run out of certain colors, but that’s just how it is with fresh stock. We just do our best with what we have each morning.
