Working here at the Thomas Cook building in Lower Parel is always a bit of a rush. You can see the traffic from the windows and people are always running to catch their trains or buses. Inside, it's mostly us on the phones or typing away at the computers. There are a lot of desks and piles of files that never seem to go away. We handle a lot of travel stuff, like tickets and foreign exchange, every single day. People come in looking for help with their trips, and we just try to get the paperwork sorted as fast as possible. It is not always easy because there is a lot to keep track of. Lower Parel is a busy spot, so lunch breaks are usually quick bites at a nearby stall or a packed dabba at the desk. We have been in this building for a long time. The elevators can be slow sometimes, which is a bit annoying when you are in a hurry. Most of the staff has been around for years, so we all know how the system works. It’s just a standard office job, keeping things moving for people who want to go places. We don't have any flashy stuff here, just desks, chairs, and people working. Every day is pretty much the same routine. Sometimes the printer jams and we all have to wait around, but that is just office life.
