The Chocolate Merchant

We operate out of Anuj Apartment on Shinde Ali 201, over in Cumballa Hill. It’s 96th Augus, and it’s a bit different from your usual storefront. Being on the second floor means people have to look for us a little, but we like the quiet. The Chocolate Merchant is basically just us working with cocoa and sugar in a small kitchen. It gets pretty warm in there when the machines are running. We spend our days melting, tempering, and pouring. It’s a lot of waiting for things to set. We don't have a massive team or a big delivery fleet. Often, it's just one of us answering the door and another one in the back. We try to keep things organized but sometimes there are boxes everywhere. Cumballa Hill is a nice area, though parking can be a real pain for anyone trying to visit. We started this because we liked the process of making something from scratch. It isn't a factory production line. Every batch is a little different depending on the day and the temperature. We don't have fancy brochures or a PR team. If you want something, you just come up to the apartment and we’ll see what we have ready. It’s a simple, local way of doing things. It takes a long time to get the chocolate to shine just right before we can pack it.
