The Anchors

The Anchors is based out of D/5 Baptista Wadi, which is on Datt Jagdamba Mandir Marg in Andheri East. We are right behind the Asmita Mogra Society. It’s more of a residential-feeling pocket compared to the really busy commercial parts of Andheri, but it’s still Mumbai, so it’s never actually quiet. We spend our time here coordinating our roles for various events and shows. Our space is pretty basic, just a place to keep our schedules and meet up before heading out to a gig. The road by the mandir has its own rhythm, with people going to pray and kids playing around. It’s a nice enough place to have a home base. We don't really have any fancy marketing materials. Most of what we do is just showing up on time and doing the job we were hired for. It’s a lot of prep work, practicing our lines or going over the event flow so we don’t mess up. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, or the traffic in Andheri East is a nightmare, but we just plan for it. We’ve been working together like this for a bit now, just trying to stay busy and keep the work coming in. It is mostly about the person-to-person connection we make when we are out on a job. We spend a lot of time just chatting about how to make things go better next time when we are back at the office.
