Tayebaly Esoofaly Rangwala

We are located at Shop No 27 on the ground floor of the Bota building in Byculla. It is a very old area of Mumbai, quite close to J J Hospital. If you have been around here, you know how crowded it gets with all the ambulances and the market nearby. The name Tayebaly Esoofaly Rangwala has been around for a long time. My father and grandfather were doing this before me. We deal with colors and paints and all that stuff. The shop is full of cans and the smell of oil and pigment. It is a small space, and we have stacked everything up to the ceiling to make room. It is not a modern store with bright lights. It is more like a traditional place where you come and talk about what shade you need for your walls. We have regulars who have been coming to us for decades. Byculla has changed a lot over the years, but this corner feels mostly the same. The ground floor gets a bit dusty with the street traffic right outside. Sometimes we sit on the wooden bench outside when it is slow. It is a simple business. We do not use computers for everything; a lot of it is still written in the big ledgers. It is just the way we prefer to do it. If you are coming from the hospital side, just look for the row of shops. We are right there in the middle of it all.
