Asian Paints Lab

Our lab is located at 6A in Shantinagar, over in the Santacruz East area. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than the main commercial streets nearby. The building isn't very large, and we use most of the space for our testing equipment and sample jars. We have rows of small glass bottles filled with different pigments and liquids that we use for our work. It’s a very functional space, with white walls that are starting to look a bit dull, and long benches where we do our measurements and testing. There are always a few of us here, wearing lab coats and looking at charts or mixing small batches of color to see how they turn out. We don't really have a walk-in area for the public since we aren't a retail shop. Most of the time, we are just focused on the technical side of things, making sure the shades are right. The air conditioner hums in the corner to keep the samples at the right temperature, and there is always a faint smell of thinner or chemicals in the air. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost finding Shantinagar, so we have to go out to the main road to guide them in. It’s a steady, quiet environment where we spend our days looking at fine details. We aren't doing anything flashy here, just the daily routine of testing and recording data for the paints we handle.
