Magic Paints

Magic Paints is over in Bhagwatgarh, near Sawai Madhopur. We are right by the Heera Panna Shopping Centre, which is a place most people around here know. This part of Rajasthan gets incredibly hot, so the shop is usually a bit of a refuge from the sun for us and the customers. We have stacks of paint tins everywhere you look. It is a bit crowded inside, but that is just how we like it. We have got every color you can think of, and some that are hard to describe properly. The floor is stained with a hundred different drips of paint from over the years. We do not mind it; it shows we have been busy. Most of our customers are locals who are painting their houses or fixing up a shop. We spend a lot of time mixing colors and talking about the weather. It is a simple operation. We do not have a website or any of that fancy stuff; we just open the doors and wait for people to come in. The shopping centre nearby brings in some foot traffic, which is good for us. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside the front door and just watch the people go by when it is quiet. It is a slow pace of life here, and we are happy to be part of the community. We treat everyone who walks in like a neighbor because they usually are. We have been at this for a while and do not plan on changing much about how we do things around our little patch in this town.
