Bombay Chemical & Rubber Products

Our place, Bombay Chemical & Rubber Products, is in suite 609 on the 6th floor of the Raheja Centre, which is right on Free Press Journal Marg in Nariman Point. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai with a lot of office buildings. Every morning we take the elevator up to the 6th floor and start our day. The building is full of other offices, but we just stick to our corner. Even though we are in a fancy area like Nariman Point, we deal with chemicals and rubber products which aren't very glamorous to talk about. Our office is mostly filled with files and samples of the materials we work with. You can see a bit of the city from the window if you stand in the right spot, but usually, we are too busy with the phones and the paperwork to look out much. The hallways in the Raheja Centre always have people rushing around. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. Sometimes the elevator takes forever because so many people use it at the same time. We aren't a huge corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us making sure orders go out on time. We don't have a modern open-plan office. It's just a traditional setup with desks and cabinets. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking the quality of the rubber parts before they go out.
