Most people hear the name and think of a giant machine, but inside Tata Strategic Management Group, it’s just us trying to help businesses figure out their next move. We aren't the ones on the factory floor, but we spend a lot of time thinking about how those floors should run. It’s a lot of meetings and looking at charts, trying to spot patterns that other people might miss. We aren't trying to be disruptors or use whatever the latest buzzword is this week. We just look at the facts and try to be sensible about things. Sometimes the best advice is the simplest, even if it’s not what people want to hear. We work with a lot of different departments, and it’s interesting to see how everything fits together. It can be a bit dry sometimes, sitting in a boardroom for hours, but when a plan actually works out, it feels pretty good. We don’t have a flashy office with beanbag chairs or anything. It’s just desks, computers, and a lot of people who are good at thinking things through. We try to keep things grounded and practical because that’s what actually gets results in the real world. It’s just about being smart with what you’ve got and planning for what’s coming next. We like the challenge of solving a big problem that's been stuck for a while.
