Our office is 804 / A in the Dheeraj Kirti building, which is located in Evershine Nagar along the Link Road in Malad West. Being in Malad, it’s always busy outside with the traffic and the crowds from the nearby malls and shops. This is a BPO branch of Tata Consultancy Services, so the office stays active for most of the day and night. We have rows of desks and people with headsets on, mostly focused on their screens. It’s a functional space designed for work, so there aren't many decorations around the place. The air conditioning is always on, sometimes a bit too cold if you sit right under a vent. We have a small area for lunch where people bring their home-cooked dabbas and talk about their weekends. The commute can be a bit of a nightmare for those living far away because Link Road is always jammed with cars and rickshaws. We just do our shifts, handle the data or calls as they come, and try to keep everything accurate in the system. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady and the people on our floor are quite friendly. We have a routine that we follow every day, starting with a login and ending with a logout report. It’s just a regular office life in a busy part of Mumbai where everyone is trying to get through their shift and do a decent job.
