We are located at Shop No 14/A on the second floor of a building in the Chowp area of Grant Road. The Sukh Sagar Restaurant is right opposite, so that is a good landmark for anyone looking for us. Being upstairs makes it a little quieter than the street, but the noise of the city still filters in. The shop itself is quite small. We have glass counters where we display some of the pieces we are working on. Good lighting is essential so we can handle the tiny details of the jewelry. Most of our day is spent at the workbench using magnifying glasses and small files. We do a lot of repairs like fixing broken chains or resizing rings for the local residents. It is very hands-on and detailed work. You can usually find a bit of metal dust on our work mats. We have a solid safe in the back to keep things secure at night. The building elevator is sometimes out of order, so we end up using the stairs quite a bit. It is just a regular workshop and retail space. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It is just us and our tools. We have many regular customers who have been visiting this part of town for decades. Sometimes we sit and have tea while discussing a new design or just chatting.
