Taheri Aluminum & Glass Fabricates

Down here in Bhendi Bazar on Indrapuri Tajpur Road 2, things stay pretty crowded. The street is narrow, so getting the glass sheets delivered is always a bit of a headache. We have to watch out for the handcarts and the people walking by. Our shop is filled with aluminum sections and stacks of glass that we have to handle very carefully. One wrong move and something breaks. We spend a lot of time using the glass cutters and checking the measurements of the frames. It’s a lot of detail work. The lighting isn't the best in the back of the shop, so we mostly work near the front where the light comes in from the street. There’s always the smell of silicone sealant in the air. We’ve got a couple of old fans that don't do much against the heat, but they keep the air moving a little bit. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them where we are. We use a lot of tape and pencils to mark where the cuts go. It’s messy work sometimes, especially when we’re drilling into the frames and the little metal shavings get everywhere. We just try to get the jobs done right so we don't have to redo them. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
