Swarajya Tours Travels is located right in Govandi at Lane No 9. If you know where Hindustan Bank is, we are just across from it at 5-N. It’s a busy little lane. We spend most of our time looking at ticket prices and trying to figure out the best routes for people who want to go on a trip. It gets quite crowded in the office during the holiday seasons when everyone wants to book a bus or a car at the same time. We have a few computers and some stacks of brochures that are probably a bit old. People stop by to ask about trains or to see if we have a car available for a wedding or a weekend trip. It’s a lot of talking and making notes on pads of paper. We aren't a big agency with shiny uniforms. It's just us in a small room near the bank. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to tell people to wait a bit while we refresh the page. We know the local routes well and can tell you which bus is better for a long journey. The neighbors around here are friendly and it feels like a real community. Dealing with travel plans can be stressful for people, so they come to us to sort it out. We just do the work and try to keep the bookings straight. It's a simple life running a travel desk in Govandi.
