Down here at Nitin Niwas in Vile Parle East, things stay pretty noisy. We are in 105-B on Swami Nityanand Marg, which is a busy little stretch. You can hear the sounds from the road all afternoon while we’re trying to sort out travel plans for people who come in. It’s a small office, mostly filled with folders and a couple of desks that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at train and bus schedules on the computer. Sometimes people just walk in because they’re passing by and want to ask about a ticket to somewhere. We have a couple of chairs for them to sit on while we check the prices. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street. There’s a guy selling snacks just outside and the smell of fried food usually drifts in around four o’clock. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now, so most of the neighbors know who we are. It isn't anything like a big corporate agency. It’s just us here, answering the phone and trying to make sure everyone gets where they need to go without too much trouble. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of chai, but that’s just part of the daily life at Suyash Tours And Travels. We just try to keep things organized so people don't have issues with their bookings.
